Accessibility audit services
ADA compliance audit, remediation, and re-audit pricing. Published.
Plenty of firms make you book a call to find out what an accessibility audit costs. Here is the whole ladder: a free scan, a human audit, the fixes, and the re-audits that keep your site from drifting back.
ADA compliance audit: a person tests your website, page by page. From $1,500.
An Egmer Consulting accessibility audit is a WCAG compliance audit done by a person. Automated tools run first. Then a person does what they cannot: uses your site the way your customers with disabilities do, and writes down every place it stops them. Every audit is measured against WCAG 2.2 AA, the current version.
Price
| Unique page types | Price |
|---|---|
| Up to 10 | $1,500 |
| 11 to 20 | $2,750 |
| 21 to 35 | $4,500 |
| Each additional page type | $125 |
What gets tested
- Keyboard: every link, button, menu, and form reached and operated without a mouse
- Focus: a visible indicator on every background it lands on
- Screen readers: labels, headings, landmarks, and what is actually announced
- Color contrast of text and interface elements
- Zoom and reflow: text at 200 percent, pages down to 320 pixels wide, adjusted text spacing
- Motion: reduced motion honored, nothing that flashes or traps
- Target sizes: controls large enough to hit
- Forms and errors a person can recover from
- Third-party tools on your pages: chat, booking, reviews, embeds
- Online stores: the full purchase flow, search, product, cart, checkout, and account
What you receive
A plain-language report that ranks every finding by impact on real visitors, ties each one to the WCAG success criterion it fails, shows where it happens and how to fix it, states what was tested and on what date, and says plainly if rebuilding would cost less than remediating.
How scope works
A page type is a template. Your home page, a product page, a blog post, the cart. Two thousand products built from one template are one page type, so you are not charged for repetition.
Timeline
Work begins within 2 to 3 business days of purchase. Your report arrives 7 to 10 business days from purchase.
Website accessibility remediation: the fixes, made where the barriers live.
Every fix goes in your code, to the fullest extent your platform allows, then gets tested again by hand to confirm it holds. The fix is never an overlay. Once the foundation is solid, an overlay can add extra visitor options on top.
Price
$1,500 to $6,000
Typical range for a small business website, quoted from your audit.
How it works
Your audit comes first, so the quote is built on real findings.
You approve the scope in writing: each finding, the fix, the timeline.
Work is scheduled at approval, typically within one week.
Fixes are made in your theme, templates, and components.
Re-verification confirms each finding is resolved.
How long it takes
It depends on what the audit finds. A contrast and labeling pass can take days; structural work on a locked-down platform takes longer. Every quote carries its own timeline.
Fix or rebuild
When remediation would cost more than rebuilding the site properly, you hear it before you spend the money, even when that means a smaller invoice.
The audit fee
The audit fee is not credited toward remediation, except for existing Egmer Marketing clients.
Websites change. Barriers come back.
New pages, products, plugins, and content all bring new barriers. The Re-Audit Plan keeps your site from drifting back after the work is done.
Annual
$149/mo or $1,500/yr
- Automated monitoring between reviews
- One full human re-audit a year against current WCAG AA
- A written report with each re-audit
Quarterly
$349/mo
- Automated monitoring between reviews
- A full human re-audit every quarter against current WCAG AA
- A written report with each re-audit
Monitoring starts at signup. Your first full re-audit falls 12 months after your original audit. A record of regular audits and fixes shows effort that did not stop when the first project ended. It is not a guarantee against a lawsuit. It is the strongest honest position a business can hold.
Built for the businesses that need it most
You received a demand letter
Call an attorney who handles ADA claims first. Then get a human audit so you both know what is actually broken, fix it in the code, and keep a dated record. Settling alone does not end the risk: UsableNet counted 1,427 lawsuits in 2025 against companies that had already been sued. If your settlement sets a deadline, say so on the first call and the schedule is built around it.
General information, not legal advice.
You run an online store
UsableNet's 2025 year-end report found e-commerce companies drew 70 percent of the ADA web accessibility lawsuits it tracked. A store audit follows the whole path to a purchase, including the apps layered on top of your theme.
You run a healthcare or wellness practice
Your patients and clients include people who see, hear, move, and think differently. Audits are led by a licensed occupational therapist who has spent a career working with them, and booking, intake forms, and portal entry points are tested by hand.

Pricing and process questions
How much does a website accessibility audit cost?
At Egmer Consulting, $1,500 for up to 10 unique page types, $2,750 for 11 to 20, and $4,500 for 21 to 35, with additional page types at $125 each. Remediation is quoted from the findings and typically runs $1,500 to $6,000 for a small business site.
What does an ADA compliance audit include?
At Egmer Consulting, a person tests your website against WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard, focus, screen readers, color contrast, zoom and reflow, motion, target sizes, forms, third-party tools, and a store's full checkout. You get a dated report that ranks each finding and ties it to the WCAG success criterion it fails, 7 to 10 business days from purchase.
What is the difference between a scan and an audit?
A scan is software checking your code for patterns it recognizes. An audit is a person using your site with a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom, and reflow. Scanners catch part of the problem, not all of it.
Do you need access to my website's back end?
Not for the audit, which is performed on your live site. Access is only needed for remediation.
Can my developer do the fixes instead?
Yes. The report is written so any competent developer can work from it.
Will I get a certificate?
No, because no official one exists. The Department of Justice has not adopted a regulation with technical standards for private business websites. You get a dated report of what was tested, what was found, and what was fixed.
Which version of WCAG do you test against?
WCAG 2.2 AA, the current version. The W3C states that content conforming to WCAG 2.2 also conforms to 2.1 and 2.0, so it covers the WCAG 2.1 AA standard the Department of Justice adopted for state and local governments.
Can I cancel the Re-Audit Plan?
Yes. The monthly plan renews each month until you cancel.
