This website exists to explain what Egmer Consulting does and how it works. The pages describe the services in general terms. Everything here is kept as accurate as possible, but details can change, and nothing on this site is a promise about your specific website or situation.

Not legal advice

Egmer Consulting is a website accessibility consultancy, not a law firm. Nothing on this site is legal advice. Pages that mention the Americans with Disabilities Act, demand letters, or settlements are general information. For advice about your legal exposure, talk to a lawyer.

No certification of compliance

No scan, audit, or remediation can certify a website as ADA compliant, because no official certificate exists. The free scan is an automated first look that covers part of WCAG and cannot confirm full compliance. An audit is a person's tested findings against WCAG 2.2 AA on the date of the test. Neither is a guarantee against a complaint or a lawsuit.

When work begins

Work begins when both sides agree in writing on what is being done and what it costs. Until then, nobody is obligated to anyone. The price is quoted before work starts.

Your website and your content

Your website, its content, and its code stay yours. When Egmer Consulting fixes your site, the fixes are delivered into your site and belong to you.
